This online course is offered every year through the Faculty of Education of York University. It aims at supporting all Greek language instructors in Communities across Canada. The course is free for participants. All tuition fees are covered by the Hellenic Heritage Foundation. All instructors who successfully complete the course receive a Certificate of Completion from the Faculty of Education at York University.

The course covers a number of effective teaching techniques and strategies designed to increase student involvement and engagement in the classroom. The Hellenic Heritage Foundation is also offering an Effective Teacher Training Certificate Course PART 2, free of charge, to all instructors who have successfully completed Part 1. This course covers more advanced techniques and strategies instructors will be able to carry forward to their classrooms.

To date, over 200 Greek Language Instructors have taken this course with the overwhelming majority of participants finding it very useful and being very satisfied with the course content and instruction. Additional information and registration here.
