Dear colleagues and friends of the Modern Greek Studies Programme and Hellenic Heritage Foundation Chair at York University, On October 13-15, the Modern Greek Studies Association Symposium is coming to York for the first time and to Toronto only for the second.
The Modern Greek Studies Association Executive Board, the Program Committee, and the Local Arrangements Committee look forward to welcoming to Canada scholars and friends from around the world in the spirit of lively intellectual exchange.
We would be delighted if you joined us on Friday October 14th – if not for the whole duration of the symposium – for a celebration of Modern Greek Studies at York with a keynote lecture by historian Prof. Christina Koulouri, and a music performance by Kuné, “Toronto’s global orchestra”.
The Symposium will take place at the Accolade East Building at York University Keele campus. We are very excited to have six York University graduate students, four in the Graduate Programme in History, one in Anthropology and one in Film/Cinema and Media Studies, presenting their innovative work in Modern Greek Studies.
