It is intended for repatriated and foreign students aged 11-15, but also for all middle/high school students learning Greek as a second or foreign language and could be used by Greek-speaking students. It seeks to stimulate extracurricular reading and to develop reading comprehension skills. It can be used in the classroom as a supplementary teaching tool but also for extracurricular reading. The book is divided into six thematic sections that include various types of genres such as dialogue, narrative, poetry, comics, informative texts, instructions, letters etc. To facilitate comprehension of each text, any unknown words and phrases are explained in the simplest possible way through relevant vocabulary, questions, sketches, classroom discussion, and personal experiences of students. The text is usually preceded by a brief introduction or orientation question to facilitate access to the general meaning of the text.
