In 1959, the Greek Orthodox of Quebec City had a temple, built in a bourgeois house on René-Lévesque Boulevard, near Cartier Street. Like the Cathedral of Athens, the Church of Quebec is dedicated to The Annunciation of the Virgin, which celebrates the visit that the angel Gabriel made to Mary to announce to her the miraculous conception of Jesus (Luke 1:28). The reverend is Silouanos Bourjeily.
