The Department of Languages and Literature (School of Humanities and Social Sciences) of the University of Nicosia is pleased to announce the Advances in second/foreign language acquisition (ASeFoLA) conference, which will be held online on 18-19 June 2022.

ASeFoLA aims to bring together researchers from around the world who are working to better understand the second/foreign language acquisition process. Contributions may concentrate on mono-/bi-/multilingual, mono-/bi-/multidialectal, mono-/bi-/multivarietal, and heritage language speakers who learn or acquire a second/foreign language in mono-/bi-/multilingual contexts. Thus, any conclusions on the second/foreign language acquisition process should consider both the role of speakers’ linguistic repertoires and the linguistic context.
